The year 2025 marks the centenary of the first scientific works on quantum mechanics. To raise global awareness of the role and importance of quantum science in all aspects of life, the United Nations has declared 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. Vietnam now stands at a critical opportunity and challenge in the quantum technology revolution. Successful technological transformation will fundamentally reshape every aspect of life, from data security to the very process of exploring the world around us.

The short course and workshop “100 Years of Quantum Science and Technology” are organised with the aim of introducing high school and university students, as well as young scientists, to a field of immense research and application potential. At the same time, it will provide a forum for scientists, technology experts, businesses and investors to explore the current landscape of this revolutionary technology. Taking place on 14 April 2025, the workshop will also offer in-depth discussions on shaping Vietnam’s quantum future.
