The event brought together representatives from government agencies, local authorities, embassies, international investment funds, quantum technology experts, as well as a large number of students, researchers, and members of the innovation community interested in emerging technologies.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Rossy Nhung Nguyen, President of VNQuantum, emphasized that QC4SG 2026 is not just a technology competition, but a strategic step toward building Vietnam’s quantum technology community.

According to her, Vietnam is at a pivotal moment to engage more deeply in the next wave of technological transformation. What is needed now is an environment where young talents and research teams can experiment, develop ideas, and gradually bring quantum technologies into real-world applications. QC4SG is positioned as a “launchpad” for projects with the potential to evolve into future deeptech startups.

QC4SG 2026 Program Orientation

During the session outlining the program structure and roadmap, the Organizing Committee introduced the overall framework of QC4SG 2026, developed and coordinated by Mr. Nguyen Luong Quang, Head of the Organizing Committee.

At QC4SG 2026, participating teams will not only focus on developing technical solutions but will also receive guidance on feasibility assessment, business modeling, and commercialization potential. The program’s objective goes beyond building prototypes; it aims to support projects in continuing their development beyond the competition.

In an online address, representatives from Gia Lai Province reaffirmed their commitment to supporting strategic technology sectors. The province expressed readiness to provide favorable mechanisms, infrastructure, and experimental environments to attract high-tech projects, with the long-term goal of building a sustainable local innovation ecosystem.

From the academic perspective, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Director of the Quantum Institute at the University of Science and co-founder of VNQuantum, highlighted that developing high-quality human resources is a key factor for Vietnam to participate more deeply in the global quantum value chain. The Quantum Institute is actively advancing specialized training programs and strengthening the link between fundamental research and industry application needs.

Official Announcement of QC4SG 2026

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee officially announced the QC4SG 2026 roadmap. The program will include an online Quantum Computing training phase followed by a one-week in-person bootcamp in Vietnam, where teams will further develop their projects and present them to a panel of technical and business experts.

QC4SG 2026 is designed not only as an international technology competition but as a platform to identify and incubate ideas with the potential to grow into deeptech startups. Participating teams will focus on solving real-world challenges in areas such as Finance, Healthcare, Logistics, Energy, and Data Security.

With mentorship from both domestic and international experts, the program aims to help projects move beyond prototypes toward feasibility validation and commercial development.
